Very true. We crossed a threshold about 1913 where the machine should have taken over the concept of work, and our society should have remade itself into another culture.
A human can produce maybe a third of a horse power an hour. A machine an incredible number more. Our society refuses to give up on our 17th century model because it is brain washed into the belief system that goes along with that model, that being the Price System.
